Madison WI: Customer had us replace their outdated clerestory window system with new Kawneer thermal barrier windows. These are storefront window frames with new insulated tempered glass units to increase energy efficiency in the building. Thermal windows, with their low air leakage and better resistance to heat transfer, are superior to single-paned windows.
To safely lift the heavy glass units to the building facade, we used a power vacuum cup system and a crane.
